PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified method of integrally forming a pattern-like conductive layer on the surface of the profile of a heatsink or the like. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a profile having a pattern-like conductive layer on its surface includes a third step for forming a coating 12 by making into anode the surface of a profile 10 composed of aluminum or aluminum alloy, a second step for sequentially laminating an insulating resin layer 14 and a metal layer 16 on a part of a surface of the coating 12, and a third step for forming a pattern-like conductive layer 16' by removing a part of the metal layer 16 through etching.
