PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor having low ESR characteristics and good high temperature lifetime characteristics. SOLUTION: Since the electrolytic capacitor contains a water soluble metal complex bonded with phosphoric acid ion and a solvent principally comprising water in a capacitor element comprising a positive electrode foil having a dielectric film consisting of a layer crystallized uniformly on aluminium and a layer containing silicon formed thereon, the layer crystallized uniformly on aluminium has high water resistance and the layer containing silicon suppresses contact of moisture with the dielectric film. Low ESR characteristics are attained in addition to low resistivity characteristics of electrolyte, and high temperature lifetime characteristics are enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
