PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic signal that can execute immediate appropriate signal operations without synchronization after installation in a site of traffic control only once conditions such as the distance and required passage time of a traffic regulation section are set. SOLUTION: The traffic signal comprises a clock part 1 for receiving a long wave standard time radio wave to output standard time data, a signal part 4 for displaying a red light 2 and a blue light 3, a control part 5 for causing the signal part 4 to switch on and off to provide signal operations consisting of an entry side signal operation and an exit side signal operation at traffic control, a changeover switch 6 for selecting one active operation from the signal operations, and a power source part 7 for driving the components. The control part 5 comprises timing generating means 8 for outputting an operation command corresponding to the time indicated by the standard time data to the signal part 4 by reference to a timetable for synchronous signal operations combinable in an active state.
