PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a context using a context from a context source without direct relations to a context entity subject to context recognition, by using relations between the context entity and the context source. SOLUTION: A context providing method comprises: a context information collection step of collecting context information via a network; a context generation step of applying predetermined rules to the context information collected in the context information collection step and to relations between context entities included in the context information collected in the context information collection step to generate new context information; and a context sending step of sending the context information generated in the context generation step to a context information requester via the network.
