PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating MPV file and a system thereof which can minimize resource and/or storage capacity necessary to use MPV file under multimedia application environment, and a storage medium in which program to execute the method is recorded. SOLUTION: This method includes a stage which generates a profile bag element based on multimedia content, a stage which generates unique identification information for each resource contained in the multimedia content, a stage which generates last URL based on URI of each resource contained in the multimedia content, and a stage which generates MPV file corresponding to the multimedia content using the profile bag element, the unique identification information for each resource, and the last URL.
