PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for hydrophilization treatment, having excellent hydrophilization properties and antifoulancy. SOLUTION: The agent for the hydrophilization treatment contains an aromatic sulfonic acid-based formaldehyde condensate such as a water-soluble salt of the formaldehyde condensate of naphthalenesulfonic acid.
