PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dull roll for inexpensively and easily manufacturing a surface treated metallic sheet excellent in all of corrosion resistance, resistance to fingerprint, electrical conductivity, electrical weldability and the designability of appearance in a metallic sheet for outside boards used for office automation articles such as a personal computer. SOLUTION: In a rolling roll for performing skin pass rolling of a cold-rolled metallic sheet, this dull roll has two dull patterns of an irregular and gentle rugged pattern the center line average roughness Ra of which is≥0.2μm and the filter wave center waviness Wca of which is≤100μm and minute pits which are 5 to 1,000μm in the diameter,≥5μm in the depth and 1 to 10,000 /mm<SP>2</SP>in the number density. By this working method of a dull roll, minute pits are worked by etching or laser beam machining after performing by either or both texturing works of electrodischarge texturing or shot-blasting texturing.
