METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING EXTRUSION PRODUCT, AND EXTRUSION PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an extrusion product having a pipe-like shape or a shape having periphery side walls cutting out a part of the pipe in the longitudinal direction and a rib for partitioning the inside of the periphery side walls, which method can accurately form the rib having a required shape, and further can improve the joint strength between the periphery side walls and the rib, and can improve the thermal conductivity. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the extrusion product manufactures the extrusion product as follows. A mandrel 22 having a through hole 24 formed in the direction of extrusion and a forming die 21 having dies 23 arranged on the periphery of the mandrel are prepared. The space between the mandrel and the dies is filled with a base material for forming the peripheral walls of the extrusion product, and a force is applied in the direction of extrusion. A material 31 to be joined for forming the rib of the extrusion product is supplied through the through hole of the mandrel in the direction of extrusion. The material 31 to be joined is joined with a base material such that both longitudinal end portions of the material to be joined plunge into the inside portion of the base material at the position of the exit 26 of the dies or in the neighborhood of the exit 26.
