<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an organic matter decomposing agent for the decomposing agent of underwater organic matter particularly by utilizing characteristics of natural graphite silica and titanium dioxide, and also by utilizing natural aluminosilicate glass such as "shirasu". <P>SOLUTION: This porous organic matter decomposing agent is obtained by mixing titanium dioxide powder with a mixture of graphite silica powder and aluminosilicate glass powder or sticking titanium dioxide powder to the inside or surface layer/surface of a granular body or plate-shaped body formed from the mixture of graphite silica powder and aluminosilicate glass powder. A natural component like china clay is blended with a mixture of graphite silica powder, aluminosilicate glass powder and titanium dioxide powder, which is then fired in a reductive atmosphere to obtain a porous spherical particle or, a porous flat plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
