<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver and frequency repacking processing method in which viewing can be suitably performed at a right frequency after a channel frequency change and a tuning operation can be continued as conventional even in a terrestrial digital broadcast receiver for receiving in a terrestrial digital broadcast pass-through system for a cable television at the time of frequency repacking that is implemented at the end of terrestrial analog broadcasting. <P>SOLUTION: The terrestrial digital broadcast receiver is capable of receiving a terrestrial digital broadcast pass-through system for a cable television and while setting pass-through broadcast receiving information in advance, if viewing channel frequency change instruction information superimposed on a broadcasting wave is received, (1) it is announced by display on a viewing screen or (2) a viewable channel is re-searched by internal processing of the receiver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
