PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience by establishing the relation of necessary minimum information enough to confirm a television program of each broadcasting station to a simple operation, with respect to a program, a remote-control control method and a portable terminal. SOLUTION: For example, an icon group CB at the present time of 15:19 (determined time TM) is displayed on a display part 306 of a mobile phone. Respective icons of the icon group CB can be independently selected by an unshown select key and decision key, respectively. Television station names and the titles of television programs broadcasted at the designated time TM are read from a storage part and displayed as a set of combinations. When a cursor CS is moved to a desired icon and a decision operation is performed by the decision key, a channel number of a television station corresponding to the icon is determined and an infrared signal of the channel number is transmitted.
