PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable mobile terminal wherein damage of the display unit due to contact by operation keys can be avoided and also production of discordant noise when both cabinets are closed can be suppressed. SOLUTION: In the foldable mobile terminal, one or more elastic projections 22 are provided on the front side of the display side cabinet 2 at an end opposite to a hinge mechanism 3, a buffer member 4 made of a material whose hardness is higher than that of the elastic projections 22 and whose hardness is lower than that of the material of the cabinet is arranged on the front side of the operation side cabinet 1, and the projected height of the buffer member 4 from the front side of the cabinet is the same as or higher than the projected height of the operation keys 11 from the front side of the cabinet.
