PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar heating element in which even if a part of the heater is cut, the other part of the heater is not affected. SOLUTION: The planar heating element 1 is composed of an exothermic layer 21 which is applied or printed with a carbon paint in stripe shape on an insulating sheet 20, conductive lines 30, 31 which supply electric power to the exothermic layer 21, and a connector 40 fitted to the conductive lines 30, 31, and the exothermic layer 21 of stripe shape is connected in parallel to the conductive lines 30, 31.
