ELECTRODE AND COLD CATHODE DISCHARGE TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode capable of efficiently lighting without going off from an introductory metal body connected by a hollow electrode even in the case being lit for a long period of time and a cold cathode discharge tube equipped with the electrode. SOLUTION: The electrode 13 is connected by the hollow electrode 14 in a bottomed cylinder shape at a tip end part 10 of the introductory metal body 5 which is sealed at an end part of a cylindrical glass valve. The hollow electrode 14 is sealed at positions 12, 12 near an end collar in the glass valve. An inside face 16 of a bottom part 15 smoothly swells like a hemi-sphere with a center part 17 as its peak. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
