PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irradiation device for inspecting a coating surface provided with a light and shade pattern capable of being opposed and arranged to the coating surface to easily detect even a coating flaw smaller in dimension. SOLUTION: The light and shade pattern has an annular light part 14a capable of irradiating the fine flaw of the coating surface from the whole peripheral direction and the annular light part 14a is extended into a background-like shade part 16 in a reticulated state.
