PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage instrument preventing a perforated plate from been stolen or lost and having good cleaning work efficiency around a drain port. SOLUTION: This drainage instrument 1 is provided with the perforated plate 6 attachable to and detachable from an upper face opening part 5a of an approximately cylindrical drain port body 5 installed at the drain port of a wash basin; a supporting shaft 7 disposed in an axially movable manner in an insertion hole 6b passing through the center part of the perforated plate 6; a shade-shaped cover member 6 provided at the upper end of the supporting shaft 7; and engaging members 10a, 10b of square frame shape fixed to the lower end of the supporting shaft 7 by an external screw 9. The engaging members 10a, 10b fixed to the lower end of the supporting shaft 7 are members to be liftably engaged with a cross-shaped engaging part 5b provided in a diametrical direction in the drain port body 5. The engaging members 10a, 10b can be attached to and detached from the engaging part 5b only when specific movement is applied to the engaging members 10a, 10b through the supporting shaft 7.
