PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein existence of deployment of an air bag cannot be determined with good reliability in a short time after collision in response to various collision forms. SOLUTION: Track on a multi-dimensional space is drawn based on the signals determined from a primary delay element type filter 5 for calculating a presumed speed signal 6 from a collision acceleration signal 2, a primary delay element type filter 7 for calculating a presumed position signal 8 from the presumed speed signal 6 and a collision force operation means 13 for calculating a presumed collision force signal 14 generated at collision of the vehicle from the collision acceleration signal 2, the presumed speed signal 6 and a presumed displacement signal 8. A collision determination signal 17 outputted from a multi-dimensional space collision determination means 15 for determining that the track exceeds a threshold value previously set on the multi-dimensional space is made to an air bag deployment signal.
