PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the press formability of a hot-dip Al-Zn alloy plated steel sheet of which the plated film contains 20 to 80 mass% Al. SOLUTION: The hot-dip Al-Zn alloy plated steel sheet superior in press formability has a plated film with such a structure that the amount of an elementary Si crystallizing in dendrite spaces is controlled.
