PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modifier for vinyl polymer imparting antistatic property to the vinyl polymer and the dried coated film which is obtained by drying the aqueous dispersion of the polymer, exhibits excellent resistance to water. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the modifier for vinyl polymer comprising a compound (A) expressed by general formula (1) and a compound (B) expressed by general formula (2). In the formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is H or methyl group, A is a 2-4C alkylene group, n is an integer of≥2, M<SP>1</SP>is H, or a monovalent or divalent cation, m is 1 or 2 which is the atomic valency of the M<SP>1</SP>. In the general formula (2), R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a residue of compounds having alcoholic hydroxyl group, at least one of the R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>is a (meth)allyl alcohol or a residue of its oxyalkylene ether.
