PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device of a recorder which can realize space saving, and to provide a recorder equipped with the holding device. SOLUTION: A power supply circuit 13 is built in to be connected to the recorder which can feed/discharge at the apparatus front face side with a recording medium standing up. There are provided a pair of holding parts 12a and 12b for holding both sides of the recorder, and a contact part 16 of the power supply circuit which is arranged between the holding parts and connected with a power supply input terminal of the recorder. When the recorder is inserted in between the holding parts, the power supply input terminal of the recorder and the contact part of the power supply circuit are connected to each other. The power supply circuit and the recorder can be set in one body by making the recorder held by the holding device when the recorder is to be used.
