PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently forming a rolling groove at low cost in which a rolling element performs the rolling action in a direct-acting device consisting of a rolling element such as an outer track component, an inner moving body and a ball bearing installed therebetween, and to provide a die device thereof. SOLUTION: A rolling groove is formed by the pressing by using one or a plurality of lower dies 16, 17, 18 in which rectangular or U-shaped formed steel plates are installed and one or a plurality of upper dies 15 in contact with a rolling groove worked surface at an arbitrary angle.
