PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in a game machine which can make a luminous display of a plate itself and enables a parlor clerk to easily attach or replace the plate in accordance with the condition of the game machine. SOLUTION: A hole 10 is made in the modesty panel 7 position of a pachinko island machine correspondent to a pachinko machine 2 and a support portion 60 is mounted to the modesty panel 7, using the hole 10 as a reference. A body portion 40 incorporating an LED is attached to the support portion 60 by sliding it from above, and a display plate 25 is inserted into the body portion 40 to make the insertion end of the display plate 25 front on the LED. The display plate 25 is formed of an acrylic plate or the like and printed with prescribed letters or designs with a diffuse reflectance ink. When the LED becomes luminous, the light hits the printed portion of the display plate 25 and is diffusedly reflected, making the letters or designs printed on the display plate 25 luminous.
