PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article manufactured at a low cost by simplifying the manufacturing process of the absorbent article and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This absorbent article is provided with an article body formed of a top sheet, a back sheet and an absorbent body interposed between the sheets, and three-dimensional gathers projecting to the use face sides in the both sides of the article body; and the three-dimensional gathers are formed of continuous bodies from the back sheet.
