PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive antimicrobial/antimold agent of a simple structure, which can be used without requiring much time and labor, excellent in antimicrobial and antimold effects, as well as in durability, its using method in a washing machine and its producing method. SOLUTION: A sheetlike base material having permeability and diffusing property, impregnated with a volatile or evaporative antimicrobial antimold liquid, is housed in an airtight package made of an air-impermeable film, along with an attachment means provided on one side of the sheetlike base material. For use, the sheetlike base material, after taken out of the package, is attached to a place facing a wash tub in a washing machine by means of the attachment means provided on one side of the sheetlike base material, so that the antimicrobial antimold agent diffused from the sheetlike base material can prevent bacteria or mold from growing in the washing machine.
