PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inhibitor and a therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis each having calcification lesion-suppressing action on arteriosclerosis nest and fatty deposition suppressing action on arteriosclerotic lesion and tylosis-suppressing action, or the like, of arterial smooth muscle cell and utilizable as a medicine for coating of a drug-eluting stent (DES).

SOLUTION: The inhibitor and the therapeutic agent for arteriosclerosis comprise each edaravone known as a central nervous system medicine.
