<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor whose form is simple without using a plurality of oscillators flexurally excited in one direction, and whose multiaxial action becomes possible by a single oscillator. <P>SOLUTION: This ultrasonic motor comprises an oscillator which is composed of a piezoelectric element having a plurality of electrodes and whose flexural direction in flexural oscillation is decided by selecting at least one electrode out of electrodes and applying a voltage to it, a rotor which rotates in contact with the oscillator, and a pressurizing member which pressurizes the oscillator and the rotor. By constituting it in this way, an ultrasonic motor which is driven in a plurality of directions by a single oscillator can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
