<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the great reduction of a cost required for installation and maintenance with safety secured when image data are transmitted/received through the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: A user accesses a server 20 from an image browsing terminal 10<SB>m</SB>; and selects information designating a user ID, a password on a displayed screen, and a Web camera 30<SB>n</SB>of No. n whose image is desired from a menu screen. The information is transmitted to the server 20 through the Internet as an IP datagram. Based on the transmitted information, the server 20 firstly performs a user authentication by the user ID and the password, and performs authentication of the concerned image browsing terminal based on user information embedded into Cookie. The server 20 takes out an MAC address of the image browsing terminal 10<SB>m</SB>, and determines whether or not it is coincident with an MAC address of the image browsing terminal 10<SB>m</SB>used used by the user at the time of a registration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
