PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manufacturing yield of a light source unit, as much as possible. SOLUTION: The light source unit which is equipped with a laser light source LS, an optical waveguide type 2nd higher harmonics generating element 41, and an optical fiber 36 which guides projection laser light of the laser light source LS to the 2nd higher harmonics generating element 4 and has the optical fiber 36 held by a holding member 37 nearby its light projection end, wherein a receiving surface RS for fixing the holding member 37 or a fixing member 43 connected to the holding member 37 is arranged crossing a virtual line which is parallel to the length of an optical waveguide of the 2nd higher harmonics generating element 41, and the surface of the holding member 37 or fixing member 43 which faces the receiving surface RS and the receiving RS are fixed by a fixing means through a liquid state.
