PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, light and inexpensive data communication adapter that can be substituted for a conventional personal computer when a portable telephone terminal or PHS (personal handyphone) is used to transmit image data photographed by an image recorder to a communication line. SOLUTION: This data communication adapter 8 is connected to the portable telephone terminal 1 through a cable 2 and connected to the image recorder 5 through a cable 6. Since a liquid crystal monitor screen 7 is used to select and delete an image when the portable telephone terminal 1 is used to transmit an image photographed by the image recorder 5 to the communication line, the data communication adapter 8 does not need to have a liquid crystal monitor screen 7.
