PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home agent system capable of enhancing the processing capability for a care-of-address management function. SOLUTION: The home agent system manages positional information of a mobile node and carries out the processing of transferring packets addressed to the mobile node by using the positional information, and includes one or more position processing apparatuses 12<SB>1</SB>to 12<SB>n</SB>for processing a positional information notice packet transmitted from the mobile node and acquiring the positional information of the mobile node; and a transfer processing apparatus 10 connected to one or more of the position processing apparatuses and transferring the packet addressed to the mobile node. The transfer processing apparatus 10 includes: a positional information management table 11 for storing the positional information acquired from the position processing apparatuses in cross-reference with a care-of-address of the mobile node; and a transfer section for utilizing the stored positional information to transfer the packet addressed to the mobile node.
