摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor material by which sufficiently high luminescent brightness is obtained even when the high temperature treatment is not conducted, a phosphor thin film and its manufacturing method using the phosphor material, a light-emitting element provided with the phosphor material, and an EL device and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The EL device 1 is laminated on a substrate 2 with a lower electrode 3A, a lower insulation layer 4A, a lower buffer layer 6A, a phosphor layer 5 (a phosphor thin film), an upper buffer layer 6B, an upper insulation layer 4B, and an upper electrode 3B, in this order. The phosphor layer 5 in the EL device is composed of a phosphor thin film that comprises a phosphor material containing a metal element belonging to any one kind of alkali metals, rare earth metals and transition metals, a group 2 element, a group 13 element, sulfur, a halogen, and a luminescence center material.
