PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gloss-giving composition that can give gloss to surfaces of substances after washing, for example, coated surfaces, stainless steel surface and glass surface by coating these surfaces with components other than oil component, for example, wax or silicone oil. SOLUTION: A composition including tannin, a surface active agent and an organic solvent is applied on the surface of substances after washing, for example, a coated surface, stainless steal surface and glass surface so that gloss is acquired.
