Spool arm for plaited material of small diameter such as thin metal wire, fine textiles or synthetic plastic threads in which the spool carrying the plaited material which rotates between the legs of a bayonette support and brake support, including a swiveling point (9) for rotating part (20) held by a carrier (1).
