<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry powder inhaler, delivering fine particles of powder medicament without causing flocculation, collision with patient's mouth or upper oropharynx region, and without being absorbed by the patient's mouth or upper oropharynx region. <P>SOLUTION: This dry powder inhaler 10 includes: a suction part; a mixing part 30 and a mouthpiece 40. The mouthpiece is connected to the mixing part 30 by a swivel joint and surrounded by a cover 90. The intake chamber is provided with a specified piston having a tapered piston rod and a spring, and one or more orifices for controlling the flow of air passing through the device.
