<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the elimination of shoulder stiffness or pain at the inner side of a scapula are hardly relieved in a conventional manner since the limit of external and internal rotation of the brachium is, especially, overlooked, in a case where related muscles are not sufficiently stretched when shoulder joints are not fully moved within the original movable range or suppressed in the movable range so as to cause the shoulder stiffness or the pain at the inner side of the scapula and to generate the chronic situation without eliminating them. <P>SOLUTION: A new stretch for forcibly rotating the brachiums externally/internally is effective for the normalization of the movable range of the shoulder joint and the elimination of the shoulder stiffness or the pain at the inner side of the scapula. When the stretch is performed, an elbow is bent by about 90° and a hand part is moved backward or outward so as to reliably obtain the effect of the external/internal rotation of the upper arms. As one example of the present stretch apparatus for allowing a user to perform the stretch by oneself without the assistance of a partner, a main body has a fulcrum, a working point, and a power point and a support mechanism for fixing a part from the fulcrum to the elbow or in the circumference of the elbow is erected. When the power point is pushed by the opposite hand, the hand which grips the working point is moved backward or outward so as to externally/internally rotate the brachium concerning the function of the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
