<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which the moisture produced by a cathode can be removed effectively through a separator. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell comprises an electrolyte layer, a cathode, a gas diffusion layer, and a separator. The separator comprises a porous part having a contact face for contacting the gas diffusion layer.
