<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly, perform splicing and altering operation of secondary coated optical fibers and also to realize improvement of efficiency of equipment maintenance/operational management of an optical fiber network which is increasing in complexity/complication. <P>SOLUTION: An active light closure 2 includes an optical switch 20 to which the secondary coated optical fibers 5 of two or more optical fiber cables 4 are connected, an optical switching control part 21 which changes over the connection between the secondary coated optical fibers 5, 5 in the optical switch 20 and is connected to be able to communicate with a supervisory control device, and a network address automatic acquiring means, and the optical switch control part 21 uses an automatically acquired network address to communicate with the supervisory control device, and performs processing of changing over the connection between the secondary coated optical fibers 5, 5 in the optical switch 20 based on a control signal from the supervisory control device, and processing of informing the supervisory control device of the state of the connection between the secondary coated optical fibers 5, 5 in the optical switch 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
