<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine wherein, even when water splashes on the ignition coil for internal combustion engine, water is prevented from being collected on the material lack of a flange for fixing an insulating case and resin used for the insulating case is prevented from being hydrolyzed. <P>SOLUTION: At one end of a flange formed on the insulating case a recessed part made to be thin in thickness is provided, and a drain hole is provided at the lower part of the recessed part. For the recessed part made to be thin in thickness and having a slope, water passes through the drain hole even if the ignition coil for internal combustion engine is mounted in any direction, so that the insulating case is prevented from being deteriorated by hydrolysis through stagnant water and a sink mark or a void is prevented from being formed, through stagnant water, in a flange in molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
