<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further facilitate preparation work for an M-BOM (Manufacturing Bill Of Material) in a PDM (Product Data Management) system preparing the M-BOM based on an E-BOM (Engineering Bill Of Material). <P>SOLUTION: The PDM system formed by integrating a plurality of computers 1, 2, 3 and the like through a network involves: constructing a database 4 in a server; registering the E-BOM on the saving area of the database 4 to enable no easy change; embracing 'temporary process' information into item attribute information on each component by referring to the E-BOM; registering the 'temporary process' information based on its knowledge by a designer; facilitating 'process' decision work by referring to the 'temporary process' information in preparing the M-BOM; and allowing the 'temporary process' information to be easily changed when the 'temporary process' information is registered in the save area, yet the 'temporary process' information differs from the other E-BOM. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
