<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name resolution method which can easily acquire the global address of each IPv6 node in a link local of IPv6, and to provide a communication apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When the IPv6 address acquired from a second node unit on a network which can communicate at a first address is a link local address, a first node unit having a first address of IPv6 link local address combines the interface ID of the second node unit including in the acquired link local address and the prefix of the global address which can be utilized in the first node unit, to generate the address candidate of the second node unit, and to transmit the NIquery message of the ICMPv6 in which a destination is used as the address candidate. When the NIreply message of the ICMPv6 is received in which the address candidate is used as a transmitting originator address, the address candidate is judged to be the global address of the second node unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
