PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner, having superior low-temperature fixability, high glossiness and excellent offset resistance related to a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner in an image forming method, such as an electrophotographic, electrostatic printing or toner jet system etc. SOLUTION: The toner has toner particles containing at least a coloring agent and a binder resin, wherein the melt viscosity at 120°C of the toner particles is≤10<SP>4</SP>(P s); the loss tangent tanδ, obtained from the dynamic viscoelasticity measurement has at least the maximal value in 100 to 140°C and tanδ(100°C)≥1.0, and tanδ(140°C)≥1.0; and the resin particles of a number average grain size 10 to 30 nm are dispersed in the toner particles.
