PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent workability from worsening at the time of attaching a rotor core and a rotor shaft. SOLUTION: A rotor 1 rotatable relatively to a stator comprises a rotor core 5, and a hollow rotor shaft 7 being inserted into an insertion hole 5a provided in the center of the rotor core 5 and secured in place. A mandrel 13 having a plurality of protrusions 13a extending in the axial direction on the outer circumference is inserted into the hollow section of the rotor shaft 7 inserted into the insertion hole 5a of the rotor core 5 and deformed plastically. Outer circumferential part of the rotor shaft 7 is projected to the outside and deformed through the plastic deformation and pressed against the inner surface of the insertion hole 5a of the rotor core 5 thus securing the rotor core 5 and the rotor shaft 7.
