PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of reducing LSI cost by making the size of a connection cell for input small without lowering latch-up resistance. SOLUTION: In this semiconductor device whose core region of the semiconductor IC comprises CMOS, protective transistor circuits 31 (31B, 31C) and 41 (41D, 41E) of the connection cell for input are constituted of only N-channel transistors, and a transistor 5 on a first stage of incoming signals that have passed the connection cell for input is arranged in the internal core region.
