PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of enhancing precision by adding only a simple hardware, in travel distance measurement in a chassis dynamometer for obtaining a travel distance signal, by detecting the rotational speed signal via a rotation speed sensor and by dividing the rotation speed signal. SOLUTION: The rotational speed signal, obtained by the rotation speed sensor, is introduced to detect a travel distance, a pulse divider is provided to divide the rotational speed signal by a unit distance error signal, and the travel distance signal is corrected using the unit distance error signal.
