PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents selecting device for selecting the contents of a piece of music to be suitably provided to a user without generating any operational trouble from among a plurality of pieces of music stored in a large capacity storage device such as an HDD. SOLUTION: This contents selecting device for selecting contents to be provided to a user is provided with a contents selecting means for selecting contents to be provided to the user from among the contents to be selected on the basis of the profile information of a certain specific person who is different from the user.
