PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canister purge control device for an internal combustion engine capable of preventing change, deterioration and corrosion in characteristics of an evaporation concentration sensor caused by liquefied evaporation fuel, regarding a canister for storing fuel evaporated in a fuel tank, a purge valve for releasing the stored fuel into an engine intake pipe, the evaporation concentration sensor for detecting HC concentration of the released evaporation fuel, and an internal combustion engine for controlling the injection amount of engine fuel according to the detected evaporation concentration. SOLUTION: The above problem can be solved by arranging the setting position of the evaporation concentration sensor as follows: higher than the canister for storing the evaporation fuel; higher than the purge valve for releasing the evaporation fuel into the engine intake pipe; higher than the fuel releasing part to the engine intake pipe; or arranging piping for circulating liquefied fuel into a fuel tank lower than the evaporation concentration sensor.
