THROATING MEMBER FOR BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external wall from being fouled and degraded by rain and snow water over a long period of time without caulking. SOLUTION: This throating member for a building is provided with a holder member 10 of approximately L-shaped cross section having a support member 11 disposed on the back face of an external facing material, and a holding part 14 projected outward from the lower end of the support member. The holding part of the holder member is provided with a throating means 20 inserting the edge of a plate. The throating means is composed of a waterproof cover part 21 with the tip abutting on the external facing material to prevent the infiltration of raindrops inside, and a throating body part 31 for dropping the raindrops downward in a position away from the external facing material.
