PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composite false-twist yarn giving a spun-like polyester cloth having high bulkiness, good spun touch and excellent water absorption, dry touch and opaqueness. SOLUTION: The polyester composite false-twist compound yarn has a double-layer structure consisting of a core part composed of a polyester multifilament yarn A and a sheath part composed of a polyester multifilament yarn B. The polyester single fiber constituting the polyester multifilament yarn B is a sheath-core conjugate fiber composed of a polyester component (a) and a polyester component (b), the polyester (a) constituting the core part contains≥5 wt.% matting agent, the polyester (b) constituting the sheath part has fine pores having a width of 0.001-3μm and a length/width ratio of 3-50, and the ratio of the area of the core part to the area of the sheath part of the fiber cross-section is 35:65 to 80:20.
