SOLUTION: The tempered glass having the heterogeneous phase formed dot like, line like or mesh like in the planer view inside the plate glass by the converging irradiation with ultrashort pulse laser light has a composition, by weight, of 52-54% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 7-11% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0-5% ZrO<SB>2</SB>, 1-5% MgO, 5-9% CaO, 0-5% SrO, 8-14% BaO, 20-25% MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO, 0-1% TiO<SB>2</SB>, 0-5% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 2-6% Na<SB>2</SB>O, 7-11% K<SB>2</SB>O and 13-15% Li<SB>2</SB>O+Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O and the center position of the heterogeneous phase in the glass thickness direction is formed in a position 250-500μm apart from the surface of the plate glass in the vertical direction.
