PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment tip having the periphery shape, managing with any disc-form base plate having different diameter, assuring good biting into a work to be cut even at the initial stage of cutting and having a good sharpness in cutting which lasts for a long time. SOLUTION: The segment tip used upon fixing to the periphery of the base plate of a cutting grinding wheel has cutting surfaces and a fixing surface, the cutting surfaces having a base line and a protruding part, wherein the base line is a line not identical to one arc of a circle concentric to the circle part of which consists of an arc drawn by the fixing surface while the protruding part is located on the base line.
